Månedens utgivelse, som er den 69. i rekken, kommer sent men godt. Konsertopptaket er hentet fra «Born In The U.S.A.» turneen og stammer fra Giant Stadium, den 22. august i 1985. Dette er den femte konsertutgivelsen fra denne turneen. De tre første er fra Brendan Byrne Arena i august 1984, mens den fjerde er hentet fra Los Angeles den 27. september 1985.
Dagens utgivelse er hentet fra den fjerde av i alt seks konserter på Giant Stadium denne sensommeren.

Etter å ha turnert i over ett år, hadde Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band oppnådd en mega-stjernestatus og konsertarenaer var ikke lenger nok til å dekke den store etterspørselen for å se Bruce og bandet live. Dermed var det duket for store stadioner da Bruce returnerte til USA i begynnelsen av august i 1985, til det som var den fjerde delen av turneen.

22. juli 2021. Renegades – Born In The USA Den 26. oktober utgir Bruce Springsteen og Barack Obama boken "Renegades – Born In The USA".
Boken, som har undertittelen "Dreams, Myths, Music", vil ta for seg samtalene som Bruce og president Obama hadde under podcasten med samme navn tidligere i år.
Temaene som ble omhandlet var blant annet livet, arbeid, familie, musikk, rase, maskulinitet og tilstanden til nasjonen.
Renegades: Born in the USA
I tillegg til nytt materiell fra podcasten, vil boken også inneholde tegninger og fotografer fra deres personlige arkiv, som aldri før har blitt publisert. Boken inneholder 320 sider.
Dette er den andre boken Bruce Springsteen er med og utgir. Selvbiografien "Born To Run" ble utgitt i 2016 og ble en bestselger overalt.
Boken blir utgitt den 26. oktober i år

Bruce Springsteens 25. utgave av "From My Home To Yours", som sendes på SiriusXM satelitt radio, har fått tittelen "Frat Party". Sendingen inneholdt musikk av The Trashmen, Question Mark & the Mysterians, The Kingsmen, Sam the Sham og flere.
Sendingen var en av de korteste, med sine 40 minutter, men inneholdt likevel 13 sanger. Mye av grunnen til dette er at "Frat Party" sanger er så korte. Fokuset var på eldre årgangssanger og det ble ikke spilt noen låter fra Springsteens eget arkiv, men "Sherry Darling" ble nevnt i sammenheng med partylåten i The Premiers "Farmer John".
Han sang også litt fra "Land of 1000 Dances" mens han introduserte Cannibal & The Headhunters innspilling av låten.

And we are so glad to be here with you today with Vol. 25 of "From My Home to Yours" titled "Frat Party"! Let’s get with it.
"Surfin’ Bird" - The Trashmen
That was the immortal "Surfin’ Bird" by a group with one of the greatest names in rock ‘n’ roll, The Trashmen. Sung in a state of transcendental grace by their drummer and vocalist, Steve Wahrer, this wild motherfucker of a record reached No. 4 on the charts — impossible to believe — and as far as I know, they never had a comparable hit. How do you follow up perfection? One and done. Put this record in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
"96 Tears" - Question Mark & the Mysterians
"96 Tears" by Question Mark & the Mysterians. Another one of the coolest monikers in rock ‘n’ roll history, by one of the coolest frontmen in rock ‘n’ roll. It is absolutely perhaps the ultimate organ lick of all time. The song was written by Question Mark, Rudy Martinez, in 1962, in his manager’s living room. It was recorded in Bay City, Mich. Rumor: The original title was "69 Tears." But it was changed due to fear it would be banned from the radio. I don’t know why. So came "96 Tears" and, once again, immortality and one of rock’s most mysterious frontmen awaited.
Here’s Farmer John, one of the most fabulous party-sound records that we stole quite a bit of for "Sherry Darling" ourselves. With one of the greatest introductions: "Has anybody seen Kosher Pickle Harry? Tell him Herbert’s lookin’ for him." I’ll let the band introduce themselves:
"Farmer John" - The Premiers
That was brothers Lawrence Perez and John Perez, on lead guitar and drums, respectively. It was producer Billy Cardenas who suggested doing the song in an East L.A. style similar to "Louie Louie." It was Billy Cardenas performing its spectacular opening monologue. And though the record sounds totally live, it was recorded at Stereo Masters studio in Hollywood with the all-girl Chevelles Car Club supplying the spectacular background brawl.
Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs — not out of Egypt, but Dallas, Texas. Domingo "Sam" Samudio wrote this masterpiece and recorded it in Memphis at the Sam C. Phillips — yup, that Sam Phillips — Recording Studio. This studio was the successor to Sam’s original Sun Studios. "Wooly Bully" sold 3 million copies and was a worldwide success, reaching No. 2 in America. The song was the first American record to sell during the British Invasion. Greatness cannot be stopped! Mixing British rock sounds with traditional Mexican-American conjunto rhythms, it stayed in the Hot 100 for 18 weeks, and in our hearts and souls forever. With its great opening count and Tex-Mex rhythms, it became one of the most recognizable openings in rock ‘n’ roll history. Do it, Sam!

That was the classic "Money" performed by The Flamin’ Groovies, out of San Francisco, formed in 1965, one of the early forerunners of power-pop and punk. Here’s The Fleshtones, with Lee Dorsey’s "Ride Your Pony."

Let’s go to Philly. Formed at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia as a doo-wop group, The Brooktones, they changed their name and had a national hit with "The Bristol Stomp." "You Can’t Sit Down" was an E Street Band barn burner of a encore for quite a few years. Of course, my man Little Steven Van Zandt played and traveled with The Dovells for a number of years. With its great organ and frenetic pace, it is a guaranteed showstopper. Get out of your seats!
"You Can’t Sit Down" - The Dovells
"Land of 1000 Dances." Cannibal & the Headhunters were one of the first Mexican-American groups to have a national hit record. They were an opening act for The Beatles’ second American tour. They were discovered by Rampart Records owner Eddie Davis. They were among the 1960s Mexican-American musicians and singers who pioneered the East Side Sound of Los Angeles. Francisco Mario "Frankie Cannibal" Garcia founded the group in 1964. They came from the Ramona Gardens and Estrada Courts Housing Projects of East L.A. They were inspired by the African-American doo-wop groups in their neighborhood before honing their own sound of doo-wop and garage rock in East L.A. They played the historic Beatles Shea Stadium concert but will always be remembered for (sings) "Na, na na na na, na na na na, na na, na na na, na/Na na na na." Enough said.
"Land of 1000 Dances" - Cannibal & the Headhunters
This song was simply another one of the E Street Band’s favorite early live encores, copped simultaneously from the version by The Kingsmen and, of course, The Righteous Brothers. "Little Latin Lupe Lu" was written by a 19-year-old Bill Medley in 1962 and was the song that launched their careers. He said the song was inspired by a girl he dated at Santa Ana High School in California named Lupe Laguna, whose nickname was Lupe Lu, who loved to dance. Well, she danced straight into rock ‘n’ roll history with this one.

Oh yeah! The Righteous Brothers. But where would we be if we didn’t include this next song. It’s simply hits too fuckin’ hard! Let’s hear it.
"What I Like About You" - The Romantics
That was The Romantics with their ass-kickin’, hard-rockin’ "What I Like About You" out of Detroit, Mich. Where else? What I can’t believe is this song only made it to No. 49 on the Billboard chart. What is the matter with people! There will never be peace on Earth with that kind of judgement, people! The Romantics. One fuck of a job, boys! P.S.: Another great vocal sung by a drummer! Mighty Max, your day will come.
This next song is one of my favorite completely nonsense-syllable songs that makes absolute sense! I mean, you know exactly what she’s saying: "You put the shama lama in my rama lama ding dong."

20. juli 2021. Springsteens "No Nukes" video, kommer senere i år
Denne månedens "Live Vault" utgivelse har latt vente på seg, men det har de siste ukene gått et rykte om at teamet bak utgivelsene jobber med å utgi en video-utgave av "No Nukes" konsertene senere i år (les mer om konsertene lenger ned i artikkelen).
Endelig får vi hele Bruce's "No Nukes"
Tidligere har vi fått Springsteens konsertopptredener fra disse to konsertene, som ble holdt den 21. og 22. september 1979, samlet på en utgivelse. Denne ble utgitt den 24. desember 2018.
"No Nukes" filmen ble lansert for 41 år siden i sommer og inneholdt disse tre låtene med Bruce Springsteen: "The River," "Thunder Road,"og "Quarter to Three".
I dag ble det bekreftet at Sony vil gi ut en "video-utgivelse" av Springsteens "No Nukes" fremførelse. Denne vil komme i løpet av høsten og mer informasjon kommer senere i september.

Sony Music Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of a new Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band film, The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts. A composite of two performances shot during the 1979 MUSE benefit concerts, popularly known as the ‘No Nukes’ concerts, the film will give audiences around the world the chance to witness performances that marked the rise of the future Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. Very little filmed footage of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band is available from this era, so The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts is a rare opportunity to see the band give an explosive performance that became an instant classic. As of 1979, it was the highest quality and best recorded Bruce Springsteen show ever filmed. The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts features remixed and remastered audio and was edited from the original 16mm film by longtime Springsteen collaborator Thom Zimny. Sony Music's Premium Content Division is handling global distribution and the film will be released later this year.

Den 28, mars i 1979, oppstod en nestenulykke i atomreaktoren på Three Mile Island, hvor deler av reaktoren smeltet etter et eksperiment. Dette kunne ha fått fatale konsekvenser som det man fikk i Tsjernobyl i Ukraina i 1986. Hendelsen ved Three Mile Island ble regnet som verdens verste atomulykke inntil Tsjernobylulykken inntraff sju år senere. Rundt 50 000 bodde rundt øya da ulykken inntraff.

(Musicians United For Safe Energy) og annonserte at det skulle holdes to konserter i Madison Square Garden i september samme år. Artistene bak M.U.S.E. var Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Graham Nash og. John Hall. Med seg på laget fikk de også Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band som var med på to av konsertene i MSG, på det som skulle vokse til fem forestillinger. Springsteen og bandet var med på de konsertene som ble holdt den 21. og 22. september.
Musicians United For Safe Energy
Bruce Springsteens og The E Street Bands opptredener var konsertenes høydepunkt og man fikk oppleve en konsertopplevelse av det sjeldne. Bruce og bandet hadde hatt fri fra live opptredener siden januar, etter avslutningen av Darkness turneen, og var nå i studio og snekret sammen det nye albuet "The River".
Det var under den første opptrenden den 21. september at Bruce Springsteen for aller første gang fremførte låten "The River", som er tilegnet søsteren Virginia, som også var i salen denne kvelden, og svogeren. De offisielle videoene til "The River" og Thunder Road er hentet fra "No Nukes" konsertene.

Bruce Springsteens 24. utgave av "From My Home To Yours", som sendes på SiriusXM satelitt radio, hadde fått tittelen "Night Time Is The Right Time".
Sendingen inneholdt låter med blant andre James Brown, Van Morrison, The Bess Gees, John Mellencamp, Bob Seger og seg selv.
Bruce lot for det meste låtene stå for det meste av kommunikasjoen. Det eneste han fortalte var om hvordan låten "Because The Night" ble til sammen med Patti Smith.
Mye tyder også på at nettopp disse to skal opptre sammen under konserten i Hyde Park, i New York, lørdag den 21. august. Denne konserten, som også vil ha andre artister som Paul Simon og Jennifer Hudson på scenen, er en del av New Yorks feiring av sommeren og gjenåpningen av byen.

We started off with yours truly and the E Street Band on the "Night", and then the genius of Ray Charles on "(The Night Time Is) The Right Time". Here's Chrissie Hynde with The Pretenders, "(I've Got the) Night in My Veins".
That was "Night Train to Memphis", by Roy Acuff. Roy Acuff was born in 1903, in Maynardville, Tennessee. He was known as the King of Country Music and he was the Grand Ole Opry's key figure for 40 years. He was the first living inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Let's get on the "Night Train".
That was the hard funk of James Brown, the man who is, without a doubt, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Whatever you're hearing with a funky groove on it today, or if you're listening to any R&B, hip-hop, rap, the roots of the Godfather of Soul, Soul Brother No. 1 James Brown are buried in there somewhere. Now here's the smooth pop/R&B of The Bee Gees.
That was "Ain't Even Done With the Night", by John Mellencamp. And here's Patsy Cline, with "Walkin' After Midnight".
Patsy Cline, one of the first country artists to cross over into pop, and one of the most influential voices of popular music. "Walkin' After Midnight” was her first smash on both the country and pop charts. She tragically died in a plane crash outside of Camden, Tennessee. She was the first female to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. We love you, Patsy.
That was Van "The Man” Morrison and Them, his great, great garage band of the '60s, and I believe that track was written by Bert Berns. And before that was "Night of the Drunken Cheerleaders", by The Penetrators.
That was Bob Seger and the beautiful "Night Moves". Man, I love that voice. And before that, of course, "Wild Night". James "Jimmy” Iovine, engineer, record producer, music mogul and entrepreneur par excellence, took me for a ride in nineteen-seventy-something in his orange Mercedes Benz. Now this is the first Benz anyone had ever seen, much less an orange one. And he drove me out towards Coney Island, somewhere, and he asked if he could send the E Street Band's recording of the unfinished "Because the Night” to Patti Smith, who he was producing at the time. Now Jimmy had, has always had, and still has some very sly ears. Now me, I had a nice hook and a melody on a song that I could not finish the lyrics for. So Patti took it and turned it into the hit it became, writing a beautiful love song for her husband, Fred "Sonic” Smith. Now it wouldn't have been a hit if I had finished it and released it. It needed a woman's voice, it needed Patti's voice and her vision. She turned it into something that I alone could never have created. And for that, I forever thank my lovely, lovely friend.
