Boken, som har undertittelen "Dreams, Myths, Music", vil ta for seg samtalene som Bruce og president Barack Obama hadde under podcasten med samme navn tidligere i år.
Temaene som ble omhandlet var blant annet livet, arbeid, familie, musikk, rase, maskulinitet og tilstanden til nasjonen.

Månedens utgivelse er hentet fra "Magic turneen", som inneholdt 100 konserter, Turneen startet i Hartford den 2. oktober i 2007 og ble avsluttet i Milwaukee den 30. august. Dagens konsertutgivelse fra Conseco Fieldhouse i Indianapolis, den 20. mars 2008.
Dette er den femte utgivelsen fra Magic turneen. De fire andre er hentet fra Boston (19/11-07), Tampa (22/4-08), Greensboro (28/4-08) og St. Louis (23/8-08).

Denne konserten skulle i ettertid vise seg å bli en meget spesiell forestilling i Bruce Springsteen & The E Streets lange karriere. Danny Federici hadde lenge kjempet mot føflekk kreft og hadde tatt en pause fra turneen siden november i 2007.
Charlie Giordano ble hyret inn som erstatter for Danny, men denne kvelden, i Indianapolis, dukket overraskende Danny opp på scenen og var med og fremførte de tre låtene "The Promised Land", "Spirit In The Night" og "Asbury Park 4th of July (Sandy)". Han var også med under låtene i ekstranumrene.
Bruce introduserte Danny med disse ordene "We've got a special treat tonight, Danny Federici is with us".
I ettertid har det kommet frem at både Bruce og Danny visste at det gikk mot slutten og at dette var hans siste kveld med gjengen i The E Street Band. Under en måned senere, den 17. april, døde Danny Federici.
Den første konserten etter Danny's død, finnes også i "Live Vault" serien og er konserten fra Tampa den 22. april.

I går var det 20 års jubileum for arrangementet som ble holdt etter terrorangrepet mot New York, 11. september 2001. Den første utgaven ble arrangert den 20. oktober i 2001, til støtte for "The Robin Hood Foundation".

All right, all right. We opened with "Sexy Coffee Pot," by Tony Alvon & the Belairs, and followed that with the wonderful and classic Salt-N-Pepa’s "Let’s Talk About Sex." Salt-N-Pepa, out of New York City in 1985. Salt, Cheryl James — Pepa, Sandra Denton — and DJ Spinderella, Deidra Roper. Their first album was Hot, Cool & Vicious and it sold a million copies in the United States. (Their) fourth album, Very Necessary, sold five million, making them the highest selling female rap act at that time. The song "Let’s Talk About Sex" has a humor and an underlying sweetness that is simply irresistible. "Let’s talk about sex, baby! Let’s talk about you and me! Let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be."

All right. That was the Followills with their big smash, "Sex (Is) on Fire." Our next artist, Hank Ballard, cut this immortal R&B record in 1954. It was immediately opposed by the FCC due to its salacious lyrical content, which was deemed, simply, too overtly sexual for the tender ears of modern America’s radio listeners. However, you cannot keep a hit record down! Despite attempts to restrict it, it went to No. 1 on the R&B charts and stayed there for seven weeks. Hank Ballard, please, "Work With Me, Annie."

Mandag den 27. september, intervjuet Bruce Springsteen sin gode venn og bandkamerat Steven Van Zandt hjemme på gården i Colts Neck. Anledningen var Little Stevens nylig utgitte bok “Unrequited Infatuations: Odyssey Of A Rock And Roll Consigliere”.
Bruce Springsteen spiller en liten bit av låten "Born To Run" under intervjuet.
Boken er en selvbiografi av Little Steven og her forteller han om mange av sine opplevelser i sin lange karriere. "It is more than just the testimony of a globe-trotting nomad, more than the story of a groundbreaking activist, more than the odyssey of a spiritual seeker, and more than a master class in rock and roll (not to mention a dozen other crafts)."
